The 47th Installation Ceremony of the Trinity College Interact Club marked yet another milestone in the club’s history. Held on November 1st, 2024, at the college main hall, this event was graced by the presence of dignitaries, staff, students, and guests.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, symbolizing a new beginning for the club, followed by the National Anthem and the College Song, Dignitaries invited to the head table were:
- Chief Guest: Principal, Rev. Fr.Araliya Jayasundara OSB
- Guest of Honor: Rtn. Deshamanya Avanti Karunaratne
- Assistant District Interact Chairperson (ADIC), Youth Service Director: Rtn. PHF Capt. Ravindra Tammita
- Staff Advisor: Mrs. Agra Rathnayake
- Outgoing President
- Outgoing Secretary
The flag salutation, Interact invocation, and the Rotary 4-Way Test were performed, grounding the event in the core values of Interact. The Interact song further fuelled the spirit of camaraderie and purpose that defines the club.
Master Senhiru Deegalla warmly welcomed the gathering, followed by the Staff Advisor, Mrs. Agra Rathnayake, whose remarks emphasized Interact’s role in developing responsible, service-oriented leaders. The Secretary and Treasurer then addressed the gathering.
Next came the heartfelt speech by the outgoing President. Reflecting on the challenges and achievements of his tenure, they acknowledged the dedication of his committee, which had proven to be one of the most impactful committees for the year 2024.
The evening’s highlight was the inauguration of the new president for the 2024/2025 term. Master Umair Akram officially stepped into his role, delivering an inspiring address. With a compelling vision focused on growth, dedicated service, and impactful initiatives, Master Umair energized the audience. His passion for leadership and commitment to Interact’s mission shone through, motivating members to unite in creating a meaningful, positive change throughout the year.

Following the induction, a beautifully crafted Committee Video was displayed, offering a true work of art that celebrated the club’s journey and achievements.
Tokens of appreciation were presented to the dignitaries in recognition of their valuable support and contributions to the Interact Club of TCK. The entertainment segment that followed celebrating the joyous spirit of Interact through music and performance.
The evening concluded at 6.30 PM with heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the event’s success.
