The Hindu Students’ Movement of Trinity College, Kandy, proudly organised the 17th Saiva Arivu Thedal (சைவ அறிவு தேடல்), an inter-school competition held in celebration of the 55th Vani Vizha (வாணி விழா) of the College. This annual event brought together students from across the Central Province, including 20 schools in and around Kandy.
With over 400 participants, the competition provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents and appreciation for Saiva culture. The event featured a wide range of activities, including musical competitions such as instrumental performance, Bajanai (பஜனை), and Pancha Puranam (பஞ்ச புராணம்), alongside literary competitions like essay writing, short story writing, and poetry. Additionally, speech competitions and Kolam events added further depth to the programme.
Each category witnessed passionate performances and high levels of creativity from all participating students, making the event a resounding success.
The Hindu Students’ Movement extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Director of TCCEI, our Teacher-in-Charge, our Vice Principal, Chaplain, Premises Manager, and the Principal for their unwavering support and encouragement, which made this event possible.
Saiva Arivu Thedal 2025 stood as a proud testament to the cultural richness, unity, and spirit of youth leadership that Trinity College upholds.
