The pieces showed contrast in style—one jazz-influenced and the other classical—allowing him to demonstrate technique and control.

Senior Vocal Solo by Hansana Jayasundara

Master Hansana Jayasundara, President of the Society, won First Place in the Senior Vocal Solo (All-Island). His set piece was “Where’er You Walk” by G.F. Handel, and his choice was “Con te partirò” by Andrea Bocelli. Both pieces required sustained control and expression, which he delivered with clarity and strength.

The Western Music Society’s success at the 2025 competition reflects the effort and preparation of its members. Trinity College congratulates the Society and thanks the Teachers-in-Charge: Mrs Ridmi Weerasinghe, Mrs Chryshanthi Cabral Surendrakumar, Mrs Krishni George and Mr Hirantha Jayasinghe for their continued support.

Trinity’s music remains a reflection of teamwork and dedication.
