Trinity College, Kandy is pleased to announce that its status as an authorised Pearson Edexcel Centre has been renewed, reaffirming the College’s place within Pearson’s global network of approved centres and ensuring ongoing access to internationally recognised qualifications for its students.
To mark the renewal of the College’s Pearson Edexcel Centre status, Ms Ameena Soysa, Senior Regional Development Manager, Qualifications (Middle East, Turkey, Sri Lanka), Pearson Edexcel, visited Trinity College and presented the Pearson Edexcel Centre Renewal Plaque to Rev. Fr. Araliya Jayasundara (OSB), Principal, in the presence of Mr Jason Lakinda Wijeyeweera, Head of Edexcel Programmes.
“Trinity College, Kandy has consistently demonstrated the high standards expected of a Pearson Edexcel Centre, both in the delivery of teaching and the administration of assessments,” said Ms Ameena Soysa. “What stands out is the way the College integrates international qualifications within a broader educational experience that emphasises academic excellence, character development and holistic growth. We are pleased to continue our partnership with Trinity and to support students as they pursue opportunities in higher education and beyond.”
The renewal of the College’s centre status reflects its compliance with Pearson’s quality assurance requirements and supports the continued delivery of Pearson International GCSE and International Advanced Level qualifications at Trinity, providing students with access to international curricula, learning resources, assessment frameworks and globally recognised pathways to higher education and opportunities beyond school.
As part of Trinity’s broader academic offering, the Pearson Edexcel programme complements the College’s mission of preparing students for future academic and professional pursuits while remaining aligned with the educational values that have long defined Trinity College, Kandy.
