The certificate awarding ceremony for the inter-house bird photography and videography competition, ‘Wings Through the Lens ’26’, organised by the Trinity College Kandy Ornithology Club, was held during the morning assembly on Friday, 6th March 2026. This event celebrated students who demonstrated creativity and keen observation in capturing birdlife.
During the assembly, winners were felicitated before the school community. Certificates were presented to all successful participants, while gold medals were awarded to the first-place recipients in each category. It was a proud moment for these young artists whose work reflected technical skill and an appreciation for nature.

The assembly also recognised the achievements of the Houses. Trophies were presented to the Junior Champion House and the Senior House first runner-up, while the Senior Champion House received the champion shield from the Principal, Very Rev. Fr. Araliya Jayasundara (Prior OSB).
The Ornithology Club extends its sincere appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the contest. ‘Wings Through the Lens ’26’ highlighted the curiosity of young Trinitians, reminding us that through the study of the natural world, students develop both artistic expression and a deeper respect for the environment.
