Admissions – Grade 1, 2021

Applications are invited for admission to Grade 1 in January 2021: Boys to be admitted must be 5 years of age as at 31st January 2021. All Grade 1 applications must be submitted online: the form will be available on the College Website at https://trinitycollege.lk from 2nd March until 11th March, 2020.Instructions on how the form should be completed and submitted will be available on the website. Completed application forms must be submitted online by 6 pm on Wednesday, 11th March 2020. Paper applications will not be accepted. Canvassing & recommendations in any form are strictly prohibited. Any such attempt will result in the application being rejected. Under no circumstances should money or any other consideration be given to anyone claiming to be able to help get your son into Trinity. Sealed tenders are invited from reputed furniture manufacturers to provide Cabin Beds to Trinity College, Kandy. Tender forms and other details are obtainable from the Head of Administration for a fee of Rs. 1,000/- during office hours from 22nd October 2019 up to 2 pm on 28th October 2019. Sealed tenders will be accepted up to 11.00 a.m. on Thursday 07th November and will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the tenderers. Admissions to Grade 4 and 6 , 2020

Applications are invited from boys currently being educated at both Local and International Schools who wish to join Trinity College in Grade 4 or Grade 6 in January 2020. Places offered will primarily be in the English Medium. Online application forms, (priced at Rs. 2000/-), will be available on the TCK Website from 16th to 24th September 2019. All applications must be submitted online Under NO circumstances should applicants ever give additional money to anyone else who says they can help get your child a place at Trinity. All applicants will also be required to sit the Trinity College Entrance Examination. This will be held at Trinity on Saturday 5th October 2019 starting at 9.00am. As a result of this exam, short-listed boys (and their parents) will be called for interview, following which a strictly limited number of places in both Grade 4 & 6 will be offered to successful applicants. All completed applications must be submitted online by 3.00pm on Tuesday 24th September 2019. We regret that no applications will be accepted after this date. 1st XV Rugby, Head Coach

Trinity College, Kandy wishes to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Head Coach for the 1st XV Rugby team, beginning in October 2019. Applicants must have proven skills in developing a game plan and patterns of play suited to the age and quality of players available for selection. The importance of technical components through specific analysis is critical. Planning, organising and interpersonal skills are also imperative, as is the ability to articulate and deliver an overall vision for the team. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Head Coach of a leading school or a club in the A Division segment in Sri Lanka or equivalent. A minimum qualification of World Rugby Level 1 and 2 coaching accreditations is a must. The ideal candidate should be committed and disciplined. And always uphold Trinity VALUES and INTEGRITY. An excellent communicator and motivator, the Head Coach will liaise closely with identified stakeholders of Trinity College rugby, such as members of the administration, other coaches and MICs, the students who play rugby at all levels, and the Committee of the Old Trinitians’ Rugby Scrummage. In addition to his Rugby duties, the Head Coach must aspire to become a respected figure within Trinity College as a whole, working with the Principal and other senior members of the Trinity College community. The Head coach will primarily report to the Principal and at all times liaise closely with the Committee of the Old Trinitians’ Rugby Scrummage. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed during the months of August and September. Expressions of interest are invited from bidders for the long-term lease of the above farm located at Pallekele, and approx 11 acres in extent. This farm is an integral part of the School and its scheme of education, and continues the vision of its founders to provide students with the benefit of this facet of education. The property is owned directly by the school on clear and unencumbered title. The School now wishes to lease this farm to an interested and committed reputed organization or person while retaining its rights to have access to the farm in educating students of the School. The farm consists of mixed, diverse agricultural crops and livestock, and has an abundance of resources including water. Interested bidders should provide a detailed plan to continue this venture in keeping with its original purpose. The College would be willing to lease the farm for a period of at least 15 years and on mutually agreed terms.  No sub-leasing will be possible, and the land and other assets shall not be used for any purpose other than for the purpose set out above. Existing movable assets, vehicles, equipment, livestock to be purchased by the lessee, and the existing staff would have to be retained on a mutually agreed basis. Construction of new buildings or structures, renovation or demolishing of existing buildings, would require express written permission of the school subject to such terms and conditions as may be agreed between the parties. Access will have to be provided to students of the school at regular intervals for education purposes, and for students to acquire practical skills in the operations of the Farm, on a mutually agreeable basis.
